Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world.  Save the Children’s School Health and Nutrition Programs work in 17 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to provide deworming treatments to fight intestinal parasites and micronutrient supplementation and to educate students about how they can change their behavior to improve their health and nutrition including preventing HIV/AIDS.  Save the Children also work closely with schools and their communities to dig wells, build latrines and provide safe water for drinking and hand washing.
