FDC (The Foundation for Community Development) in Mozambique is a private non-profit institution which aims to strengthen the capacities of underprivileged communities, with the objective of defeating poverty and promoting social justice in Mozambique .  The focus is on supporting local initiatives through community investment, and upgrading the skills of the communities and of the local stakeholders who work with them. FDC operates in all of the country’s major provinces, with priority for the rural areas where the majority of the poor live, and conducts programs in all major sectors of rural development.
